Dell is still make people guessing about its smartphone plan
Just like in the interview last year, Micheal Dell still makes people keep guessing about the probability for Dell to join the smartphone market.
According to Micheal Dell, the company has added 3G radio to its notebooks and netbooks. Also, Dell has worked with many wirelss service providers to produce 3G service on its mobile products. Therefore, Micheal Dell adds, “In the future, there is no reason that stop us from making more mobile devices as well as the chance to join the smartphone market.”
The rumor about Dell would join the smartphone market started when Dell hired ex-Motorola CEO, Ron Garriques. At the same time, Dell repeatedly mentions about the “smaller devices with smaller screens” for which the company has been developing. However, Dell has not yet announced anything about a smartphone with a Dell’s logo imprinted on.
Actually, Dell is in its expansion stage in which Dell will diversify its product selection in order to meet the consumers’ needs. And smartphone is well suited for this expansion.
